NO GENERATIVE AI WAS USED IN THE MAKING OF THIS SITE!

Welcome to my citations page! This is where I cite materials used in the creation of this website. I will also include resources that I have found helpful throughout the site's development. Citations are arranged by page in alphabetical order by author and/or title.
on sources and copyright:
I have done my best to include sources for materials used in the creation of this website. As the web is still very much the wild west in terms of citations, some of these items have no clear original source. Additionally, whether a source can be found or not, it is often unclear what copyright restrictions an item may fall under. While in other contexts, one should assume copyright restrictions when none are expressly known, other items may be reasonably assumed to have been intended as public use/non-copyrighted (web clipart, .gifs, blinkees, etc.).
In general, my approach to citations for materials harvested to create this website/art piece has been:
- If a title, author, or year is known, I will cite it below.
- If I've made significant visual changes to the individual source, I try to note those as well.
- When linking to a host, I try to select the "most original" source--that is, I prefer the original page on which the item is hosted to any repost, if possible, even if I originally discovered the item through a repost.
a note on fair use:
The entirety of this website comprises a singular work of art. Some photos, images, or other materials retaining normal copyright restrictions have been used in part. These items have been used in what the webmaster (artist) believes to be accordance with the Fair Use doctrine as codified in the 1976 Copyright Act:
- Purpose and character: The site is a non-commercial artistic venture with the sole intention of artistic and personal expression.
- How much of the original work was used: Materials are used in a transformative way as a small inclusion in the digital collage expressed via the medium of the web. The art piece (website) is entirely hand-created by the webmaster (artist) using coding, drawing, and image editing skills, which are transformative actions that significantly adapt the original work.
- Potential market impact: Use of copyrighted material on this website is highly unlikely to impact the potential market for the original works in any way.
